The Band

Fresh on the music scene, RainTown is a UK based band experimenting with genres such as Indie, Rock, Pop and Funk. Starting off as a University collaboration, the band comprises five members; BJ Max-Who providing vocals, Robert Lithgow on guitar , Hazel McLean on keys, Jamie McAtee on drums, and Megan Mitchell on bass.

The Sound

“Better Places” is a tale of emerging from past relationships as a newer version of yourself. It encourages listeners to create a better life for themselves in the wake of bad experiences. The track offers an experimental take on the Indie genre.

 

Starting off as just a drum track, “Sicc” takes inspiration from artists such as The Smashing Pumpkins. The song touches on feeling unequipped to navigate a crumbling world whilst trying to enjoy life at the same time.
